Nepal Expeditions

Eight of the 14 tallest mountains in the world, including Everest, along with hundreds of other smaller peaks crown the north of Nepal.  Whether to simply enjoy their beauty, to trek through the foothills, or to climb to their summits, these mountains hold allure for thousands of tourists every year.

To obtain the climbing permit needed for your expedition, you must apply through a trekking agency and employ a Nepali climbing guide.  While some people feel secure going with an international company who employs international guides, we believe that these expensive expeditions are overrated. Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expedition has established its reputation as a reliable company, who employs trained and qualified guides, arranges first class logistics and has lead countless successful expeditions to the summits of many mountains in Nepal.

Climbing and trekking in the Himalayan region requires expert staff. Annapurna Foothills Treks guides has experienced Sherpa climbers who will allow expert climbers the needed independence, while being wholly dedicated to your safety should you run into problems. The support staff are also veteran Sherpas.

Annapurna Foothills Treks provide excellent logistic support so that you can be free from the rigors of food preparation, lodging and logistics and totally enjoy the world of mountains.  We have been running expeditions consistently every year for the past 10 years.  We use huge 4 season tents and provide a variety of hygienic and tasty meals to keep climbers healthy and strong. Most of the food is flown in from Kathmandu.

You have the right to check if the trekking company you are booking through ensures all their staff for their appropriate roles.

Annapurna Foothills Treks takes Leave-No-Trace ethics and practices very seriously. With each expedition we not only attempt to leave the environment as we found it, but strive to assist the local population in protecting the land and people indigenous to that region. Annapurna Foothills Treks believes in careful protection of our ecosystem, so that future climbers will still be able to enjoy the beauty.
