Annapurna Region Trekking Peak

Typical Tea House with a Heavenly View

Annapurna Region Peak Climbing begins with a trek through the most popular trekking region in Nepal. The Annapurna region is outstanding for its extreme constrasts of landscape and diversity of vegetation, ethnicity and culture.

The Annapurna massif stretches 40km long in the north of central Nepal. Nine peaks, of over 7000 meters, project from the massif, the tallest being Annapurna I, 8091m.The Annapurna region is bordered by the Kali Gandaki river to the west, the Marshyangdi and Dudh Khola valley to the east, the Pokhara valley to the south and the trans- Himalayan range that runs along the Nepal-Tibet (China) border to the north.

Your approach trek will begin in the dripping, subtropical, bamboo jungles of the low lands and climb into to the dry, barren, windswept deserts of the north. As the elevation increases, mud houses surrounded by terraced fields are replaced by stone houses and pasture land. Mixed caste Hindus inhabit the south, whereas the hill tribes in the north are mainly Tibetan-Buddhist.

The Chulus ( Chulu East, Chulu Far East and Chulu West) are interesting climbs in Annapurna region. These Chulu peaks can be climbed adding couple of days to your existing Annapurna circuit Trek. Other interesting climbs in Annapurna region includes Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli), Pisang Peak and Singu Chuli. These peak climbing starts from the majestic Annapurna Base camp. The Annapurna Sanctuary Trek itsefl is a lifetime expereince and if you could climb a Trekking peak after getting there then you should never miss this opportunity.

Our Annapurna Region Trekking Peaks itineraries are flexible. Depending upon your time limit, we have the option to take a Jeep ride to upper villages like Chame or even Manang.  But we highly recommend pre acclamatization and training before shortening the time duration of your trip.

Ready to challenge yourself with a 7000 m mountain? Have you already climbed 6000 m peaks? We organize exciting adventure climbs of Mount Himlung Himal 7126m, Mount Baruntse 7129m and Mount Ama Dablam 6812m in the Himalaya of Nepal.
