Mr.Tashi Sherpa is responsible for operation and trip management at Annapurna Foothills. With enormous love and passion for trekking, tourism and hospitality industry, Tashi has been serving for our company since the year 2010. Mr. Sherpa holds Masters Degree in Hospitality Management (MHM) from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NATHM). He is a certified city Tour Guide with his roots deep inside the Trekking Industry and has a 10 Years working expereince as a Porter, Assistant Guide and a Trekking Guide/Leader in the Himalaya of Nepal. 

Traveling, adventure, meeting and interacting with people all around the world has always been his passion. Sharing his knowledge and expereinces with our guests so that they will have a smooth holiday in Nepal.  He efficiently commences trips and is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients.

With an excellent command over the English language and effective communication, he assures a pleasant journey towards your destination. He bears a sound knowledge of local areas, culture, traditions and under his leadership your trip in Nepal are made easy, enjoyable and memorable.

Karen started trekking into remote areas of the country when she worked with an INGO during the armed conflict in Nepal. With just a sleeping bag and change of clothes in the pack on her back, she walked for days through the mountain villages of the Karnali, in the western part of Nepal. The poor but hospitable people were always willing to share their homes and food in areas where there were no guest houses. She was smitten by the beautiful landscapes and overwhelmed by the harsh reality of life for these gentle but resilient mountain people who live in a world that is, in some cases, centuries behind her home country of Canada. 

Feeling enriched by her own experience, Karen wanted to have a part in a sharing the loveliness of Nepal with people from around the world, in a way that would benefit the local economy, which depends heavily on tourism. That is to say, benefit the people of Nepal without taking advantage of the inexperience of tourists. Karen found a way to fulfill her dream when she was introduced to Ngima, the Managing Director of Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expeditions Pvt. Ltd. Ngima’s refreshingly honest business policies, dedication to clients and respect for his own staff are a rare entity. By supporting a Nepal-based company, there is a two-fold benefit: the income generated stays in Nepal, and clients get best-quality services at the lowest-cost.  

Having lived in Nepali since 2002, Karen speaks fluent Nepali and has a good understanding of the dynamics of the country and its people.

Mrs. Tenzin Doma Sherpa is an intelligent, energetic and hard working employee of our company. With trekking experience of more than 10 years she has led clients to Everest and Annapurna regions, two of the most popular trekking regions in Nepal.She has completed her School Leaving Certificate (SLC) and High School from Darjeeling. She has received her trekking guide training from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM).

Tenzin started her guiding career in 2013 and since then has made quite an impression among her clients because of her caring nature, friendliness and knowledge. Especially with her female trekkers as there are few female Trekking Guides available compared with male guides. She says she loves to work with her foreign clients because they are friendly, knowledgeable, enjoyable and adventurous and always willing to share their opinion and ideas.

Ngima Nuru Sherpa, born in Eastern Part of Nepal, a small mountain village of Hewa, 2600m, in the remote Solukhumbu district, in the Mount Everest region, is the founder and Managing Director of Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expeditions Pvt. Ltd. He has been working tirelessly in this field for 15 years. As a Himalayan trekking guide, he is very experienced and has been leading treks over all the major trekking routes in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and Sikkim since 2000.

Ngima started his career as a tour-guide working with several reputed companies in this sector. After a long hard journey gaining experience and understanding of both tourism and tourists, he fulfilled his dream of starting his own company where he could provide better services for the tourists and better working conditions for the staff. A team suffering from difficult working conditions and insufficient pay can not be attentive to the tourists’ needs. By providing rewarding working conditions for his team, the team-spirit is high, and they happily work for the satisfaction of the clients. Ngima is proud that Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expedition has earned a reputed name in the tourism sector.

Ngima is an optimistic and positive person with a love for nature and the outdoors and boundless energy which has helped him to be a successful entrepreneur in this industry.  He  loves to share his knowledge and experience with others. He has successfully organized treks and expeditions for clients from around the globe and he is still exploring new destinations and  routes.

Ngima spent his childhood in Hewa. Being the son of a farmer, he learned to work hard from an early age. It was very challenging to strike a balance between work and study at that time. Nevertheless, his strong determination to acquire an education didn’t wane. He successfully completed his general education in Hewa village.

He came in Kathmandu at the age of 15. His family background was very poor so he needed a job for survival and to support his education. His early days in Kathmandu were a struggle for survival. Sharing a small room with four other friends and worrying about where every rupee was to come from for the fees at Tuition were some of the painful circumstances that taught him the endurance and patience he needs to run his own company. It also taught him compassion, he is happy to be able to provide employment opportunities to others struggling to get started in life.

"While I was a young porter, I used to carry 40 kg loads. My clients they used to love me because I was youngest in the team and was sincere, hard working and punctual. They didn’t know that the salary I earned was scarcely enough for my food. Because of the heavy load, I needed dry food for energy on the trail. Like many, I didn’t have other work opportunities, so I did it. I often used to help in the lodges, serving or cleaning the kitchen, for which they provided me free food. This allowed me to save a few rupees for my education. That was in 1998."

Dawa Sherpa, with over 25 years of expertise in the Trekking Tourism field, has been serving for our company since the year 2010. He is a Legend when it comes to handling groups in the mountains. He is one of our most experienced  leader and inspiration to many learning Guide. He has acquired a substantial amount of experience in the field of trekking  He has led groups from all over the world to most of the Trekking Destinations across Nepal.

He is a warm person and creates  a cheerful environment among his staffs and guests at the same time. He will share his stories, expereinces and skills that he have gained from all these years of work in Trekking industry of Nepal.

Mr. Dawa Sherpa, born on December 9, 1996, is an inhabitant of Pokhara, a place which is regarded as the heart of our country, Nepal. He started trekking in the inaccessible area as he was curious to know the people of that place, their culture and tradition and explore such places by himself. It has been half a decade and today, he is one of our company’s self reliant, nature lover and a young, dynamic and tireless Trekking Guide.

With an admirable command over English language and active communication skills, he gives topmost priority to his valuable guests as he believes in serving and comforting guests as his first antecedent. He effectively initiates tours and is equally liable for establishing safety and satisfaction of our clients. He fairly possesses a stable insight of the local areas and assures an amiable adventure approaching your journey’s end.

Trained by the Ministry of Nepal Tourism, he holds Trekking Guide License and lives in Kathmandu for the time being. Recently, he completed his Tourist Guide Training Course from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) under Ministry of Nepal Tourism and hold Tourist Guide License securing 'A' Grade. 

Mr. Jangbu Sherpa, with over 18 years of expertise in Trekking Tourism, has been aiding our company since 2015. He is one of our best trekking guides when it comes to handling groups in the mountains. He is one of our most experienced leaders and an inspiration to many learning guides. He has acquired a substantial amount of experience in the field of trekking. He has led groups from all over the world to most of the Trekking Destinations across Nepal.

He received his training from the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management College (NATHM) under the Ministry of Nepal Tourism. He was rewarded his Trekking Guide License in 2052 B.S. With an excellent command of the English language and effective communication skills, he ensures a pleasant journey towards your destination. He has a sound knowledge of local areas, and under his leadership, your holidays are made easy and memorable.

Mr. Ngawang Lakpa sparkles throughout the major destinations in Nepal, such as the Annapurna, Everest, and Upper Mustang Regions. He takes pride and pleasure in offering excellent service to our guests and is very capable and well-mannered.

He is a very responsible and professional Trekking guide. He was brought up in the lap of the Himalayas, so no one is more informed about the mountains, local people's culture, and flora and fauna than he is. He has 14 years of experience in the Tourism Industry and is one of our finest Sherpa Trekking Guides.

He directs you along the trail, going at your speed without a hint of edginess, leaving plenty of time for you to immerse yourself in Himalayan paradise. He maintains a strong focus on our travelers’ satisfaction. He is concerned about the environment and is committed to protecting it.

Ms. Jangmu Sherpa, a permanent resident of Solukhumbu, living in Kathmandu at present is primarily responsible for taking care of our groups in the mountains. She is an honest, hardworking, enthusiastic and self-motivated female guide in our company. With trekking experience of more than 6 years in different regions of Nepal, she has more than enough exposure and experience and has led clients with utmost satisfaction throughout Nepal.

She started working as a trekking guide since 2016 and from the very beginning, she was always focused on giving more importance to the guests than anything else and makes their journey memorable. Trained by the Ministry of Nepal Tourism, she holds Trekking Guide License and lives in Kathmandu at present. She completed +2 in Morgan International College and now, she is pursuing graduation in Bachelor of Arts (BA).

She says her hobby is to travel in the peaceful environment of mountains and remote areas. So she worked as a trekking guide. Working as a trekking guide always motivates her to travel to higher altitudes and gather more experiences from different people and their own culture and lifestyle. She is willing to share ideas about Nepali culture and lifestyle with foreign clients and learn about their lifestyle and culture as well.

Mingmar Sherpa shines throughout the major destinations of Nepal like Annapurna, Everest and Upper Mustang Regions. He takes both pride and pleasure in offering excellent service to our guests and is very competent and courteous. He is a very responsible and professional trekking and mountaineering guide. He started working in this industry at the age of eighteen as a porter, and a couple of years later became a trekking guide. He was brought up in the lap of Himalayas, so no one is more informed about the mountains, local people and culture and flora and fauna than he is. He has six years experience a certified licensed guide, and has taken the necessary training. On the trail he’s incredibly fit and strong, but also relaxed and casual. He steers you along the trail, going at your pace without a hint of impatience, leaving plenty of time for you to soak in the Himalayan bliss He maintains a strong focus on our travelers’ satisfaction. He is concerned about the environment and committed to protecting the environment in Nepal. He loves meeting people from across the globe.

Raised in the Himalayan village (Solukhumbu), Pasang Sherpa is one of our youngest trekking guides but equally competent, capable and hard working. Mr. Sherpa is familiar with most of the popular trekking trails in the Himalaya of Nepal. He has a dream to be a great mountain guide in near future and we strongly believe in him as he is young, energetic and hard working person.

With a good command over English language, he has a good comprehension of many trekking routes and their cultures and traditions. He focuses on giving more importance to the guests than anything else and makes their journey memorable. Trained by the Ministry of Nepal Tourism, he holds Trekking Guide License and lives in Kathmandu at present.

Gelju Sherpa is a very energetic climbing guide who lives in Solukhumbu district. Like many, he started his career as a porter and kitchen boy. He got a promotion as an assistant guide due to his dedication and hard work. 

Having the experience of climbing for more than 22 years, Gelju Sherpa holds clean record of leading the group to the top of summit every single time. He has successfully scaled several of the highest mountain peaks in Nepal. Also, he is an Everest submitter and well known for climbing 7000 and 6000+ peaks (Baruntse ,  Himlung, Kyajo Ri, Pachermo, Mera Peak, Island Peak, Lobuche Peak,) countless times and is equally known for doing expeditions multiple times.  He  loves to share his knowledge and experience with new comers.

He is a climbing guide licensed by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).He is experienced in teaching others the climbing techniques they will need to achieve their dream safely, and with minimum effort. He is among one of our experienced climbing guides of our company.

Born in the lap of Himalaya, Mr. Mingmar Dorjee Sherpa is an energetic, determined and one of our Companys' finest Mountaineering Guides.   

Mingmar Dorjee Sherpa has over 15 years of climbing experience and takes the group to the top every time. He has successfully climbed some of the highest mountains in Nepal like Mount Makalu (8481 m), Mount Baruntse (7129 m), Mount Himlung (7126 m), and 6000 + meter peaks like Mera Peak, Island Peak, Lobuche Peak, Kyajo Ri, Pachermo, countless times. He loves sharing his knowledge and experience with beginners. 

He is an experienced Climbing Guide licensed by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). He has taught others the climbing techniques they need to safely achieve their dreams with minimal effort. Fluent in English, he explores his skills and develops into his guide on treks that bring the world one step closer. He has a good understanding of many trekking routes and their cultures and traditions. He cares about his customers above all else and is committed to making their trips memorable. 

Born in the lap of Himalayas, Mr. Dendi Sherpa nurtured a dream to become a Mountaineering Guide from his early childhood. His dream came true when he submitted Mt. Everest and for sure, he worked hard to make his dream come true. Started from Porter, Trekking and Moutaineering Guide, his treking career has provided him a lot of opportunities. Leading groups in the Himalayas for Trekking, Peak Climbng and Expedition, he is one of our main Leader.

He is a person of dedication, passion and motivation, no matter what task he undertakes. We can fully rely on him to coordinate the daily activities of the team, so that the Trip runs smoothly. Everest summiter, countless summits of Island Peak, Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak and many other Trekking peaks in the Himalayas. 

A certified Trekking and Mountaineering Guide, he has taken trainings from Ministry of Tourism. He also possess training on First Aid in Outdoor activities . He gives high priority to the satisfaction of the clients. 

Phura Kanchha Sherpa is an experienced mountaineer, multiple Everest summiter, numerous 7000m and 6000 meters peaks. Mr. Sherpa has a special gift of collaboration and cooperation among his guests and team members, which is essential on any trip. This makes him a great asset for our company. He is a dynamic person possessing a sound experience in the trekking and mountaineering industry. With 12 years of experience in climbing, trekking and leading groups in the Himalaya, he is always determined to fulfill the needs of the guests and gives top priority on making your stay a memorable and enjoyable experience. He is passionate about exploring and experiencing the splendid scenery of remote and less visited sites. He strongly believes that nature speaks a message about how wonderful the world is; thus he is devoted to preserving nature.

Ngawa Sherpa is an experienced mountaineer, Everest summiteers, numerous 7000m and 6000 meters peaks mainly Himlung, Baruntse, Mera , Island and Lobuche Peak. With 20 years of experience in climbing, trekking and leading groups in the Himalayas, he is always devoted to fulfill your needs on the Trip and make your stay a memorable and enjoyale experience. He is a dynamic person possessing a sound experience in the trekking and mountaineering industry. His journey as a climbing guide started for the first time as a porter and then as a kitchen boy. Gradually, he working as an assistant guide. He then worked as a Trekking and Mountaineering Guide for several years gaining enormous experiences and summiting world's highest peak. 

Ngawa has a special gift of collaboration and cooperation among his guests and team mates, which is essential on any Trip. This makes him a great asset for our company.He is passionate about exploring and experiencing the splendid scenery of remote and less visited sites. He strongly believes that nature speaks a message about how wonderful the world is; thus he is devoted to preserving nature. And he is very focussed in his Job, always aware of his guests needs, thinking as a Team with a very good result in most of his previous Trips in the Himalayas. 

Mr. Bijay Tamang makes a tour feel particularly special for our guests who are looking for a genuine local experience outside the typical tourist attractions. As he is pretty familiar with most of the local sites, attractions and has a broad knowledge of historical, cultural and traditional places. He is a good communicator and has excellent command over English language. Mr. Bijay has true passion and interest which can take a tour from typical to outstanding.

Mr. Manish lama is a true passionate tour guide having a great way of interacting with guests from all over the world. Mr. Lama also has a great sense of humor which can be the perfect tool to cut any tensions and as always add an extra layer of entertainment for guests. With his roots deep into culture and people of Kathmandu, he is one of our trusted city guides for Kathmandu valley. Charisma can come naturally but it can also come with practice and our guide, Mr. Lama possesses such qualities. He thinks about opportunities before you embark on tours and does experiment with the guests during the tour to figure out tactics to enrich their experiences.

Mr. Sangam Thapa Magar is a wonderful city tour guide who is working with our company since 2018. He possesses excellent communication skills and has perfect command over English spoken language. Mr. Sangam is a delight to travel with and explore the vistas of Kathmandu valley.
