• Fanstastic Helambu Trekking

I booked my trek with Annapurna Foothills Trekking from a recomendation from a friend. I could not be happier with the service I received from start to finish. It was my first time trekking and it was suggested I do a 6 day tea house trek on the Helambu circuit. My guide Dawa Sherpa was fantastic in matching the itinerary and pace to my ability. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the trails, and also the cultural aspects of Nepal which really enriched my trek. Ngima helped organise everything for me before the trek ,with plenty of communication and detail making the whole process really personalised. I shall be returning to Nepal again to complete another trek in the Annapurnas, and of course will be doing it with Annapurna Foothills Trekking.

  • A spectacular trip in every way

My wife and I trekked the Manaslu Circuit with Ngima's Annapurna Foothills in late 2014. The trip, from start to finish, was nothing short of spectacular. Ngima and Tenzin were the warmest, most gracious hosts, and showed single-minded devotion to ensuring the trip's success, safety, and joyfulness.

  • Mera peak Expedition September 2015

My name is Clinton Behan. For the past 15 years I have been running commercial expeditions to the Nepal himalaya from where I live in Perth W.Australia and over those years I have had many opportunities to work with companies out of Kathmandu to run my logistics and organise my itineraries and staff needed. I have just come back from a successful attempt on Mera peak in the Everest region of Nepal. It was my first time working with Ngima the director of Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expeditions so being the perfectionist for detail I was cautious at first as I needed them to work with me pre arrival in Kathmandu to make sure the expedition worked with as few problems as possible. I found Ngima to be a great communicator via emails and we were able to put together a great itinerary. The day we arrived we were picked up at the airport and driven to our hotel where later we met up with our climbing sherpa Dendi and from that meeting a great bond was formed which insured a safe and successful climb. Ngima's company is one of the top companies I have used and I would not have any hesitation in using Annapurna Foothills Treks & Expeditions for our next trek and climb. Ngima has a strong sense of pride in his company and it shows in the trips he organises. Many many thanks to Ngima and I wish him all the best for the future.

  • Mera Peak Expedition

Ngima Sherpa and his team could not be faulted for their level of commitment to providing us with the best service and their willingness to understand our needs as a trekking team heading for Mera Peak. In terms of logistics, everything was thought of, and every possible obstacle had a contingency plan to match. As for personnel, the professionalism and friendliness stood out as their strong suits. The company looked after our safety and well-being without cutting corners and I am very grateful for it. We are already talking to Ngima about the next trip! Would not hesitate to recommend using Annapurna Foothills and Treks for peace of mind when you come to Nepal.

  • Lobuche Peak Climbing

Professional, reliable and personal approachWe participated in 4 day Lobuche East guided climb with Annapurna Foothills. From the initial contact, throughout the time leading to our trip, Ngima was very helpful, timely and patient with responses to all our enquiries. The trip itself was very well organized, we were looked after exceptionally well by our guides Nawang and Pasang. Food was abundant and delicious, climbing instructions were clear and gear fairly new. We had 100% confidence in our guide's abilities and felt safe at all times throughout the climb. We had a great time climbing the peak and would recommend this adventure with Annapurna Foothills to everyone!Lukas and Jana

  • Mera Peak Expedition

I booked a trip to Mera Peak with Annapurna Foothills Trek in November 2014.The contact with the Director Ngima was perfect and he answered fast on the questions I had. All in the team provide for our best during the trek. Meals in the remote areas were great and they did a great job the days we used tents in base camp and high camp. The porters Shitra and Mingma were strong and reliable and often with a smile in their faces. Our guide, Chhongba, was the best guide you can think of. I felt completely safe and calm with him. He took us to the summit of Mera Peak with outstanding views of Everest, Makalu and Kanchenjunga.I wouldn´t hesitate to book a trip again with Annapurna Foothills Trek in the future. There are many more beautiful places to trek and discover in Nepal. Thank you for a wonderful tripNgima, Chhongba, Chitra, Mingma and the rest of team!Vilhelmina, SwedenEmail: [email protected]

  • Everest Base Camp with Island Peak climbing

Thank you so very much for an absolutely outstanding experience.  Everything was simply perfect.  The details and arrangements went so smoothly that we felt completely at easy throughout the trip.  Chongba (forgive me if I don't know how to spell his name) was amazing.  He exceeded our expectations every single day and we consider him a friend. His competence, professionalism, patience, good nature, sense of humor, and attention to detail was better than any guiding experience we have ever had.  He is a superb guide, both on the mountain and the trek. We can't say enough good things about the trip.  Thanks so much.  You have a great organization, and we would gladly recommend you anytime. I hope we can return in the future and climb again!Best regards,Josh and Stephanie Email: [email protected] /  France

  • Mera Peak Climbing

We contracted Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expedition to guide 5 of us to Mera Peak in March/April 2014.Some of us had completed the Everest Base Camp Trek a few years earlier with a larger trekking company and were now lured back to revisit the beauty and grandeur of the Himalayas.Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expedition is a small local company operated by husband and wife team, Ngima and Tenzing, and were chosen for some key reasons:1.Being a local company we were mindful of the trek fees staying with locals they need the support and depend on us for their livelihood.2.The trekking costs were competitive with other companies doing a similar trek3.The numbers in the group were going to be limited to 10 or less in the end there were 5.4.Reviews I read about Ngima and his company were favourableFrom my first contact with Ngima via email I found him to be very professional, enthusiastic and helpful. (Dont be put off by delays in a reply as being a small operation he is very much hands on. His advice and recommendations as to the length of our trek, equipment required, coordination of accommodation in Nepal, internal flights and a myriad of other small items was hard to fault. Our walking guides on the trek ended up being his wife and Chongba - both Sherpas with Chongba having summited Everest the previous year.To say they were experienced is a gross understatement with their level of knowledge and expertise obvious to us constantly.Whilst we were having trouble keeping our feet on the slopes in the snow and ice they were there, sure footed with strong guiding hands.Whilst we had concerns about some of our altitude gains on some days they assured us we should be alright and we were non of us got altitude sickness whilst other groups around us did. We might have been lucky or it might have been good management. The actual trek to Mera is far harder than the base camp trek with the path less formed, steeper, more undulating and obviously to a higher altitude (1000 metres higher than base camp). We also ascended and remained at a higher altitude longer all considerations to keep in mind.In the end nobody from our group summited but having made this comment nobody had summited in the previous 3 weeks and nobody summited in the week after (prior to us leaving Kathmandu). Conditions conspired against us.4 or us made it to high camp with one of our group leaving on day 2 with a pre existing medical issue.Overall Ngima and his team were excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending him(them) for any trekking in Nepal. Should I plan another trek in this region there is no question that I would contact Ngima..................................................................................................................Jeremy McGrade | DirectorE [email protected] (Western Australia) Pty LtdLevel 1, 130 Hay Street, Subiaco, WA 6008T 1300 901 047 | D +61 8 9488 4870 | F 1300 547 350
