• Island plus Mera via Amphu Lapbtsa Pass

Superb trip. Excellent walk in via remote Hinku valley where you need to accept basic lodging as trade off for having scenery all to yourself. Annapurna team were dedicated and helpful throughout. Pretty decent cooks too. Group summited successfully on Mera and Island (high camp a good bet on both). You need some climbing experience esp. For the Pass at 5900m and head for heights for crevasses and summits. Amazing trip excellent value for money well done Annapurna Foothills.

  • Three passes and Island peak

I would like to thank Ngima for his efforts in organising my trek and for making my stay an enjoyable and stress free time.I would happily encourage anyone who is interested in trekking or climbing in Nepal to seriously consider using Annapurna Foothills services. I found Dendi, my guide, to be very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. He ensured all my needs were looked after and monitored my health as we went along the trip. The accommodation was excellent and the food was filling and quite tasty. I had an excellent time and as stated previously I'd recommend this company to anyone I will be using their services again in the future and thank you once again for a thoroughly enjoyable time in Nepal.

  • Great combination of cultural trip and trekkin

We booked with Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expedition a combination of a cultural trip to Bhutan (6 days) and a trekking around the Gokyo-Renjo La Pass circuit (13 days) with in-between stops in Kathmandu. Even if this was the second time that we organized a hiking trip with them (the first one to Annapurna was excellent too), we were initially unsure about their expertise with more complex tours and in particular for making arrangements out of Nepal. After three weeks of very intensive travel and trekking, we are totally satisfied of having chosen them again. Every single detail was perfect: transportation, hotels, guest houses, meals and itineraries! For these reasons and our positive experience, we fully recommend Ngima and his team to every traveler and also suggest our combined tour. It was wonderful.

  • Trek to the summit of Mera Peak with Dendi

My dad and I had a fantastic trek to Mera Peak with Ngima and his team, summiting Mera Peak in tough conditions. Ngima was a great communicator and organiser, and went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic trip. He provided wonderful guides, Dendi Sherpa was incredible, especially when things got tough with bad weather. We felt really looked after, safe and in the hands of experts. The trip was incredible, would highly recommend this local, Nepalese company for anyone looking for an amazing Nepal experience.

  • A 14 day trek following the Annapurna Circuit organized by Annapurna Foothills Treks

We recently completed the most amazing trek in Nepal. A 14 days trek following the Annapurna circuit organized by Ngima and his professional team of experienced guides and Sherpa’s. We had our own trekking guide and veteran, Chitra who has a heart of gold. Amusing, fun and caring. He loves Nepal, the Nepalese people and the Ghurkha Army.As many others before me, I highly recommend this company. They are without doubt a most professional and knowledgeable trekking company, and I would recommend them and use their services again. Why pay for a guide?Well that’s easy to answer, because they are there to help you relax and enjoy your trek from day one. At the Teahouse your guide will arrange your room, arrange your meals and organize showers and any nightlife you may want to do. They will wake you up, make sure your are off on time and plan the trip on a day-by-day basis. I had a bad attack of the D&V, and so Chitra took it steady until I was well again. He fed us with information on flora, fauna, history, religion, politics, and showed us around many villages using his knowledge of short cuts and detours.Acclimatization has so many factors that determine your body’s reaction. I had been to 3000+ meters before, but live in the UK at around 300m above sea level. My body is not used to being at 5400meters, which was our final height in Nepal. Once we passed 3000 meters, Chitra checked on our health. Only at night-time I suffered a slight headache, but so did many of the trekkers we met along the way, some experiencing dizziness and others feeling a little nausea, it’s just down to how your body works and less to do with training or physical strength. At 4000 meters we ended each day by climbing a little further in height then returning to the Teahouse. This mainly gave us confidence that we could go higher. At higher altitudes Chitra suggested we walk much slower, stop chatting and concentrate on keeping our breathing steady and don’t over exert. This we did, my wife suffered no effect, I on the other hand still had a slight headache at night. Chitra arranged an extra day in Manage with no trekking, which prepared us for our final accent to the pass.Nepal is a very developing country, and out in the mountain villages a day’s paid labor, if you can get work, is about the cost of two cups of Starbucks coffee. If you are a Teahouse owner then you are not rich, but you do have a relatively secure income. Education is not free and medical treatment is not free. So accept that trekkers are the source of vital income. The Teahouse owners don’t rip you off but will charge for anything outside the arrangement they have with your guide. Chitra explained all this to us before we set off. The extras we were charged amounted to less than $50 over the length of the trip, about two dollar per person per day.A few days before the end we decided to shorten the 8 hour trip back to Kathmandu by taking a 30 minute flight. Ngima arranged all of this for us.To end our trip we met up for a Pizza with Ngima, Tashi and Ngima’s wife (also a trekking Guide). They are a very genuine trustworthy team comprising close family members, who all have the success of the company at heart and serving guests for more than a decade now. We choose them through a recommendation of our close friends and will definitely recommend them for trekking, tours and climbing in Nepal.

  • Annapurna Circuit with Annapurna Foothills Treks

My husbund Andrew and myself did the Annapurna Circuit trek in January/February this year and we had the most amazing time. We are in our 50s and Andrew had never done a trek before. We had an experience of a lifetime. We treked with Annapurna Foothills having been recommeneded them from a close friend. We could not believe how amazing they all were.Ngima and Tashi were in constant contact with us from our first enquiry answering every query so efficiently and promptly. We were met by Ngima at the airport and he was so welcoming and friendly. Ngima introduced us to our guide the next day and we knew from then on that we were going to have a very special trip. Chitra was so kind, warm, friendly and had a great sense of humour. He and Pasang our porter looked after us so well for the 2 week trek. Pasang carrying a very heavy load never tiring and always so cheerful and smiling. We went out of season so were slightly nervous about weather condition. We had the most amazing weather clear blue skies every day and would highly recommend this time of year to do the trek. Normally it is a very busy trek but in January it is so quiet and peaceful it was heaven. The secenery was stunning and so varied. Chitra always telling us about our surroundings, showing us all the flora and fauna, the history, architecture and people. The route is challenging at times but exhilarating and there was such a sense of achievement at the end of every day As we climbed to higher altitudes Chitra was always looking after us ensuring we walked slowly and adjusted to the altitude correctly. We always felt safe and managed the pass of 5400 meteres easily. We met some fantastic fellow travellers along the way and had some hilarious times together. The Nepalese people are a delight so warm, friendly and welcoming at every tea house cooking delicious food for us. Chitra always made sure we had the very best room and could not have looked after us better. We were so sad when is came to an end as we had had the most incredible time and made two lovely friends in Chitra and Pasang. We had the holiday of a lifetime. We are planning our next trek in Nepal and would use Annapurna Foothills again without a doubt. We would highly recommend this company to everyone thinking of going to trek in Nepal

  • ANNAPURNA TREKKING TRIP - DEC/JAN 2018

In December/ Jan 2017/18 myself and my 14 year old son Charlie, joined my sister, brother in law and nephew George for a 5 day hike through the Annapurna Foothills. From my very first enquiry via email to Sherpa Ngima to being met at Kathmandu Airport to start our trip with Annapurna Foothills Trek and expedition was a dream come true. Both Ngima and Tenzin who accompanied our trek took care of every single need from detailed explanations about the beautiful vistas we walked through, to finding us the best rooms together at the best places, to the meals we ate and the kind and caring way they led and took us on this spectacular journey. Every village and path showed the most incredible sights, experience, cultures and traditions. I can and would urge you to put all your trust in this beautiful company full of kind, caring and experienced Guides and Porters with a deep knowledge of Nepal. Thanks my Nepalese family for taking such good care of us we will always remember this special time together and as you know George and Charlie are planning on a base camp trek when they are old enough

  • Beautiful All Round

In December / January did a six day Annapurna Panoramic tour with my wife our 12 year old, sister in law and her 14 year old. In a few words: awe inspiring, beautiful, brilliant. If you have reasonable fitness you'll find some bits a little tiring but more than worth it. The mountain and valley views, villages, forests, fauna, animals etc will thrill you. Dealing with the company from the start was easy and they were accommodating of specific requests. A special thanks to our wonderful guides Tenzing and Ngima and our porters Pansan 1 and Pansan 2.One of those experiences you'll never forget - for all the right reasons. Highly recommended
