• Baruntse 2023 - hard and beatuful

0n 05-Nov-2023 me and my guide, Ngawa Sherpa, summited Baruntse (7129 - 7159 m, depends from a source). I had known Annapurna_Foothills and the guide Ngawa from some earlier visits to Nepal and I knew I could trust them. As I travelled solo I adjusted a standard plan of Baruntse expedition to my needs (e.g. I didn't fly to Lukla but went by jeep to Bung for better acclimatization). The company was flexible and there was no problem to follow my programm. I can honestly recommend them. The path to the summit was really difficult but worth of the struggle. And the assistance of my guide, Ngawa, was extraordinary.Andrzej (Poland)

  • Great experience with Annapurna Foothills!

We had a great time doing the ABC trek with Annapurna Foothills! I must say the guides took care of us really well, both Nima and Mingma make sure that we are comfortable and our needs are met, especially this is a trip with teenagers. Other than the spectacular views at the base camp, the trek towards the base camp was nothing but a great experience. I will definitely engage Annapurna Foothills for future treks in Nepal!

  • Wonderful Experience

The trek was well-planned and we had sufficient time to acclimatise to the altitude. Ngima and his team were very attentive and patient to our needs and we felt very well taken care of.I am an amateur trekker but the trek was manageable for me physically. The scenery, including dreamy forests, rolling hills, terraces and giant snow capped mountains, was gorgeous!Overall a wonderful experience.

  • Mera Peak - October 2023

Mera Peak - October 2023Had an amazing time climbing Mera Peak with Annapurna Foothills! They have done an amazing job helping me getting prepared for my trip from the very beginning, they have been super responsive and offer excellent customer service, from picking me up at the airport to helping me getting the rest of my gear in Kathmandu, to dropping me off at the airport. I had an amazing experience with my climbing guide Mingmar, he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and safe at all times. I highly recommend them, and if I ever come back to Nepal, I’ll be using their services. Thanks, team.

  • Great trekking experience

My wife and I did a trekking trip in Nepal last May, accompanied by our guide, Dawa. He's passion for the mountains of Nepal made us get along immediately, as we shared a common interest in climbing, and mountaineering. We enjoyed talking about the summits of the Himalayas, past adventures and future projects. As a guide, he's expertise in mountaineering was evident, skillfully leading us and adapting to the circumstances at all times, even changing accommodation when needed. Beyond his mountain expertise, Dawa's understanding of Nepal's politics, history and culture, made the trip also a cultural exchange. It was remarkable how Dawa and the company managed to arrange a second trek just two days in advance, starting the day after coming down from the Annapurna Base Camp trek. One aspect worth noting is the accommodation during the trek. While all the lodges we stayed at were generally good, one lacked some basics. However, we understand that it is part of the adventure of trekking in remote areas. In summary, Dawa provided the experience we were aiming for. We highly recommend Annapurna Foothills to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, personable, and like-minded guide for their adventure in Nepal

  • Everest Base Camp

Everest Base CampDid the EBC hike with a friend and Tenzin (our guide). Was pleasantly surprised to learn that we had been assigned a female guide, something I appreciated since both my friend and I are females. Enjoyed the immensely picturesque views and slower leisurely pace of the hike. Lovely memories to look back on!

  • The Annapurna Circuit - The most magnificent trip of a lifetime!

Apr 2023 • CouplesThree years ago, on the recommendation of others, we booked to walk the Annapurna Circuit Trek with annapurnafoothills.com. We chose them because of good reviews and very quick and positive repsonses from the company. As bad luck would have it, the whole trip was cancelled due to the Covid epidemic just two weeks before we were due to depart.Three years later we resurrected the trip and once again the positive responses from Ngima at the company gave us confidence that it was going to be a good experience. This wasn't just a good experience, it was an outstanding one. Every small detail of the trek was meticulously planned and this made our time in Nepal the trip of a lifetime. The advantage of using a smaller company like annapurnafoothills.com is the trip is bespoke and fitted our needs and requirements. We are in the older demographic for Himalayan trekking so we needed to ensure we were 'looked after'. We certainly were.We were welcomed at Kathmandu Airport after a long and exhausting flight and whisked to our comfortable hotel. The next day after a preparation meeting and welcome dinner we were ready for the trek.We were assigned a wonderful guide - Dawa Sherpa, an experienced and thoughtful person, along with a lovely young porter, also called Dawa. It was a dream team.Throughout the trek with it's beautiful views; expansive vistas and magnificent Himalayan mountains we were looked after like royalty. The accommodation was carefully chosen, the route was incredible and the intinerary ensured we were properly and safely acclimatised for the climax of the trip - the Thorong La pass, (at 5416 metres, the highest pass in the world).Make no mistake, the Thorong La pass is challenging due to its altitude but having completed its passage we had a huge sense of achievement. The trek is very varied both in scenery and climatic conditions - sub tropical farmland and forests; high altitude snow fields; rocky gorges and winding mountain tracks and paths with vertiginous drops. It is not for the faint hearted but it is a life affirming experience.Added to all this is the loveliness of the Nepalese people! We have no hesitation in recommendimg the trek and, in particular annapurnafoothills.com for organising our trip if a lifetime.
